Great tour, after the felling work, again along the well-signposted, old course of the road. The paths are now passable again in the rain. A rarity when hiking in Siegerland is the opportunity to stop off. The Jung-Stilling-Weg offers two places to rest: The Ginsburg and the old customs post.😀!

The Jung-Stilling circular trail can normally be started at the following points:
- Zollposten hiking car park (below Ginsburg)
- Parking lot at the Gillersportheim
- Kapellenschule in the center of Hilchenbach-Grund

I walked it together with my SGV club colleagues Rüdiger, Eckhard and Klaus from the "Insbachtal" hiking car park near the SGV hut ("Wilhelm-Münker-Hütte") of the SGV-Hilchenbach …

komoot actually lost the GPS again. The circular route is a little longer and has a few more meters in altitude. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Before the presents were given, when I visited my old home village of Grund, the Jung-Stilling-Rundweg was completed together with my old father 🎅. Probably to "calm down" my conscience before a long meal.

Namesake is Johann Heinrich Jung called Jung-Stilling, the most famous son of the village (1740-1817).
The highlight is the tower of the Ginsburg (ruin) ⚔️ 👍 …

A very scenic and varied hike around the birthplace of the doctor and writer Jung-Stilling, "Grund bei Hilchenbach". Ginsburg is also a lovely destination. There are places to stop for refreshments there and also on the Ginsberger Heide, about 10 minutes away.

A loop from the SGV WP Insbachtal via Grund up to Ginsburg. Back past the customs post, over the railway tracks and the Kromberg back into the Insbachtal. At the first junction keep right otherwise you have to walk cross-country, mostly following the signposted Jung-Stilling circular trail. After crossing the tracks we no longer followed the markings but went back …
