Nice but there are no refreshments other than the three or four fountains, you have to push a bit to avoid the road under the sun

Following the path of the walkers this first stage is really exciting. Still a bit of mud around but easily avoidable. Overall the route requires good preparation, the climb to Mount Adone reserved for very expert bikers.
