A very nice loop, with easy uphill riding. A beautiful lake below the Splügen Pass. We hiked most of the impressive Cardinello Gorge: steep and very exposed rocky sections; about a 30-minute walk. Then a nice trail back to the parking lot. The total elevation gain was about 800 meters.
