Pragnères

Highlight • Other

The Pragnères hydraulic power station is perhaps not the most beautiful thing you will see on the GR 10. However, you can find a fountain there to fill your water bottles and a farm produce store to do some shopping.

I had left to do the Tourmalet pass but the closure of the pass to traffic ended this morning at 1 a.m. 🙃, too many cars, motorcycles and motorhomes, it really doesn't make you want to, too bad 🤷,, , next time, Luz Ardiden is magnificent to ride, and almost no traffic, no regrets

A superb loop, with surprisingly few motorized vehicles (only about fifteen in two hours in late August morning). My first pass🤩.
After a few questions during the climb, we hang on and take our time. At the finish, what a thrill, everything is beautiful, before tackling the exhilarating descent after so much effort.
