Our tour today was to a lake in the Leipzig Lake District where lignite used to be mined. We drove around the Zwenkauersee in between we first had to go into the water the water was very warm it wasn't any refreshment but we had to go in. When we were around the lake we swam again.🚴🚴‍♂️🏖🌅🩲👙

For 78 years, coal was mined in the Zwenkau open-cast mine and now sailors glide through the waters in the same place. The history of Lake Zwenkau actually begins in the late 17th century. That was when the first brown coal was found in the southern Leipzig area.🥾🚲😊
