Eh clear that you have to pay attention to hikers here!
The small jumps are still a lot of fun 👌😀

Mühlenwanderweg Forest Trail

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

... not the Limes!

This is a working ditch of the old spinerei on the Hohemark and the path is part of the mill hiking trail (see hiking trail).

View of Frankfurt Skyline

Highlight • Viewpoint

From the Fuchstanz down to the Hohe Mark it goes on steep gravel roads. The forest is in a sorry state. The dried up spruce trees are or will all be felled and huge open spaces are created. This has only one advantage: a clear view of the wide Maine plain to the Odenwald and Spessart and of course the grandiose skyline of Mainhatten. So "forest breathing" is no longer necessary, but there is an almost alpine feeling of height and space. Passing it again and again on the downhill trail and you get something of the thrill when they come wagging underneath.

Flowtrail Feldberg

Highlight (Segment) • MTB Park

The Feldberg Flowtrail is a beautifully designed flow trail for experienced mountain bikers who like to jump or take a berm. The trail is fun despite its many roots and the nice thing is the bike path to the Fuchstanz runs right next to it, which means if you want to ride again, you can just go back up and do the whole thing again. This is theoretically also possible by car, but we are here to ride our bikes, aren't we? I have to say that some features on the trail are a bit on the small side, including the corners, so ride slowly the first time. Otherwise, the trail is constantly maintained. At the beginning of the trail is an information board where you can find out about the rules and which trail color is suitable for whom. Most of the time it is very pleasant to drive here, even for beginners.
I wish everyone a lot of fun on the trail!

Forest restaurant Fuchstanz

Highlight • Restaurant

With this highlight I mean the better of the two restaurants on the Fuchstanz: "Fuchstanz - das Waldgasthaus". There are, for example, very tasty tarte flambées, as well as decent salads. The price-performance ratio is okay for me. Payment is made in cash. The restaurant also runs a kiosk with a beer garden opposite the edge of the forest. There is, among other things, pea soup with sausages and it is THE biker meeting point in the Taunus. From the large crossroads directly at the Fuchstanz, paths lead to the Altkönig, Sandplacken, to the “big curve” and up to the Feldberg and down to Falkenstein and Königstein. A large overview map is located to the left of the kiosk.

Attention: Mondays and Tuesdays are closed!

Driven beautiful new trails, Fuchsstein entry and folding spade. The roller coaster is great. The two descents from the Altkönig, well, there are better ones. But Feldberg is something special, especially if you know your way around. 😛

Thanks Tmax for the GPX data, it's really a great round 💪👌 and everything can be driven with a lot of adrenaline in the body 😉 It was so much fun going down from the Altkönig in particular that we missed the turnoff and had to push it back up 😄
