The Moucherotte Summit

Highlight • Summit

Hello Komootians! I am pleased to inform you that a year ago my friend (Paulo) and myself (Marco) repaired the bench at the top of Moucherotte (under the orientation table, east side). And we signed our work. We invite you to go and check on the spot while taking full advantage of the beautiful and vast panorama that you have when you sit on this bench... A+
PS: we suggest that you climb Moucherotte by its eastern side, stopping at the Vallier cave on the way.

The Three Maidens

Highlight • Climb

Dominating the panorama of Saint-Nizier-du-Moucherotte, the Trois Pucelles rise proudly into the Vercors sky. These limestone needles, easily spotted from Grenoble, are steeped in local legends. Their presence attracts climbers, trail runners and hikers, all eager to challenge these stone sentinels or simply to admire their raw beauty in the heart of the mountain setting of the Dauphiné.

An unmissable point of view!

The Venomless Tower

Highlight • Castle

A true remnant of the old Château de Pariset, the venom-free tower dates from the 13th century and is one of the wonders of the Dauphiné.
The GR91 will take you to this tower and for us hikers, it will be the ideal place for a well-deserved break after this first ascent offering you a view of Grenoble and the surrounding Alps! What could be better ?

July 25, 2021,Route Moucherotte - trois Pucelles
I decided to do a hike close te Grenoble cycled to Seyssinsform where I went up towards the Moucherotte. The route up to the Moucherotte was clearly labeled with a blue marker, much better then some other routes. Once I was up the Moucherotte, I had a bit bad luck with the clouds and I could not see Grenoble, but …
