Unfortunately, this route was anything but good. We often considered whether we should abandon the hike. It constantly went through private gardens, properties or main roads. In some places there were no paths at all (anymore?) and we had to fight our way through the thicket. Apart from the waterfall and the lookout point, there was absolutely nothing worthwhile to …

We followed a route via Komoot, which I unfortunately don't recommend. At kilometer 2, the path was so overgrown that we had to take another path through fields. At kilometer 4, you go through a tunnel to the levada, from which you have a great view of the coast.
