Anyone wanting to climb here should have absolutely no fear of heights and not be afraid of the very exposed climbing sections on greasy rock! Not all sections are secured with wire ropes.

La Tournette (2,351 m)

Highlight • Summit

Annecy mountain with a wonderful view of the lake and good views to Mont Blanc.

As an ascent in the early morning I recommend the way over Montmin. Parking at the church, then walk in the shade to the degree, continue on the Pointe des Frêtes and then across the balcony (must be snow-free) to the summit. Descent via the same path or to the Chalet de l'Aulp for a snack and from there to the valley. The last 40 vertical meters before the summit must be climbed and secured with chains. The trail is very cantilevered.

The classic ascent of the Chalet de l'Aulp is very crowded in summer and in the blazing sun.

La Tournette Summit

Highlight • Summit

It is a magnificent summit, culminating at 2,350 meters above sea level. A few ladders and cables allow you to wait for the cross which marks the summit. From there, we dominate the entire Annecy basin! You can admire all the peaks that surround Lake Annecy on one side, and the Aravis range and Mont Blanc on the other. It is truly exceptional!
