Historic Bakehouse Norddrebber

In our small town north of Hanover in the Heidekreis district, an old dilapidated bakery that was built around the middle of the 19th century stood on private property until 2003.
The owner gave this bakery to a resident from Norddrebber for use by the general public.
At the end of 2003 it was dismantled and stored.
Shortly afterwards today's working group was formed.
After many visits to the surrounding bakeries and collecting experience reports, the working group began its work in 2007.

The inauguration of the bakery took place on September 12, 2015.

The construction of the bakery and the purchase of many baking utensils would not have been possible without generous donations. For example, the Heidekreis, the Suderbruch Wind Park Interest Group, the Walsrode District Savings Bank Foundation, the Lüneburg Landscape Association, the Norddrebber Friends' Association and the Schwarmstedt Association of Rural Women donated around 7,000 euros. The group received donations in kind from several companies and individuals, including Agricultural machinery company Ulrich Bartling, Fa. Hoja, Fa. Bartz Bau, Fa. Abfall & Rohstoffrecycling Schwarmstedt, Brewery Veltins and Fa. Bier Storch.
On the part of the Fuhrberger carpentry, the old beams of the bakery were professionally refurbished and, if necessary, new ones inserted into the framework. Everything was done free of charge by the Fuhrberger carpentry.
In addition, there are several thousand euros invested in the project by the members of the Backhaus group themselves. And of course the many hundreds of working hours that the members of the Backhaus Group contributed to the construction of the Backhaus.
