I just couldn't help myself 😂 and had to pay a visit to the Kyffhäuser (mountains) and "little brother of the Harz" on my way back from the Mammutmarsch 🦣. The Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial 🗿😉, which can be seen from far away from the motorway, was too tempting.

Today, in stormy autumn weather, we went to the Kyffhäuser Monument, the third largest monument in the Republic. A lovely hike through the autumn forest with great views. Afterwards, we visited the Barbarossa Cave (by car, but mentioned here as it is really worth seeing and is currently under spooky Halloween lighting until November).
