We walked up from Les Marches to Orcieres-Merlette and took the Telemix Rocherousse up to the Roche Rousse plateau. You can get a coffee/something to eat at the Chalet de Rocherousse at the top of the chairlift. Be warned - it's not cheap! There's a fair bit of climbing (along gravel tracks for the most part).
