Beautiful, easy Waalweg path with no inclines from Obermais to Saltusio. There are three places to stop along the way, all of which are not cheap, but excellent. Shortly before Saltusio you can watch great paragliders landing. On hot days, sun protection is recommended for the last stretch before Saltusio because there is little shade.

Today was supposed to be a longer hike.

It was supposed to be super sunny, so we decided to hike in the shade along the Maiser Waalweg (Waal Path) to Merano.

We ate ice cream there, strolled around, and did a bit of sightseeing.

Then we headed towards Tirolo, along the Tappeiner Trail to the Powder Tower.
