February 20, 2023,Bingen - Oberwesel und zurück
Sunshine and wind, about 12 degrees. Because of the wind up to 45 km/h in gusts, I once again chose the route in the Rhine Valley. Lots of people were out and about today, Shrove Monday, there was a parade in Oberwesel, everything was parked up along the B9. But with the bike you have no problem.

Perfect spring weather with almost 20 degrees Celsius. What more could you want?
The Rhine is very low in water.

Driven one of my favorite routes again. Nice weather, over 20 degrees, but windy. You don't notice it too much in the Rhine Valley.

One of my favorite routes driven again after a long time. And there is always something new: a very large push boat with a container, which was preceded by a sounding ship. I hadn't seen that before and it is certainly due to the relatively low water level and the size of the ship. Otherwise there are already a few …

At a mild 8 degrees, we cycled the beautiful -and clean- route along the Rhine again. Sure, the photos are just marked by winter and a bit dreary. But that's the way it is...

mostly dry - that was the weather forecast and the wind shouldn't be that strong either. Well, both were correct and so I spontaneously decided to ride one of my favorite routes again. It's always interesting along the Rhine: ships, trains, traffic jams on the other side of the Rhine, and sun and clouds made for varied light.

Took advantage of the surprisingly dry weather to ride one of my favorite routes again. Today it was accompanied by the sound of numerous motorcycles that were on their way from Rüdesheim as part of the Magic Bike tour. Otherwise there were quite a lot of tourists on the long weekend.

Showing Translation

Once again drove one of my favorite routes on the Rhine, which still has very little water. On the other hand, I found an unusually large amount of train and ship traffic. And few cyclists, around 3 e-bikers and two fast racing cyclists. Weather: dry, around 9 degrees, and a few watts of sun in Oberwesel.
