Monument to the Fallen Alpini of Cimadolmo

Highlight • Monument

Remembering the past and commemorating all the sacrifices made by those who preceded us is undoubtedly one of the most important principles of any culture and society and for this very reason, the Alpini Group of Cimadolmo decided in 1999 to erect a monument dedicated to all the Alpini fallen in war and in peace.
The inauguration took place on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the foundation of the Group.

The primitive church of San Silvestro, which was a branch of the parish church of Stabiuzzo, stood in the locality of Cornudella and was managed by some monks from the Nonantola abbey. The facade of the church, facing east, is gabled, has a rose window characterized by a brick moulding, the porch supported by two small columns, the painting above the portal portraying Pope San Silvestro and hanging arches below the eaves . On the sides and on the top of the slopes there are three pinnacles.

Church of San Rocco

Highlight • Religious Site

The church of San Rocco, built in the 1920s based on a design by the architect. Luigi Candiani, was enlarged in 1948 by the architect Gualtiero Vendrame. It is a small building with a single rectangular hall and a gabled roof supported by exposed wooden trusses. The building is oriented in an east-west direction, with an entrance to the west and an apse area to the east. The church was built in a bend of land lapped by the Negrisia river. The interior has a small presbytery and two small side altars. In the side chapel on the left we find a wooden statue dedicated to San Rocco, while in the apse there is a statue depicting the Madonna del latte, also in wood and dated around the 1920s. The façade has an entrance porch with a tile roof and a three-light window made up of three tall and narrow archivolted openings. A cross is placed on the facade at the top of the roof.
