We went end of June to the lac des Bouillouses. Before July 1st you can drive and park at the dam, during high season you park the car at 10km before the lake and take a bus to the lake.
At the start of the hike , it was busy with people, but after 10 minutes somehow it got quieter …

A beautiful hike in the French Pyrenees, passing nine mountain lakes. The last stretch to the starting point is by shuttle bus. It runs every 5 minutes, so it's easy to do. It was wonderful to be in the mountains!
