We start from the parking lot below the Maßbach Theater. We follow the signs "Lauertalweg". You pass the town hall and the church in Maßbach. Very nice hike through forest and field in the Schweinfurt Oberland with beautiful views. Varied paths, narrow paths, forest paths, tarred dirt roads, local roads...everything included.

In Poppenlauer today was the start of the hiking season in the Oberland, with a big folk festival. However, the queues at the stands were too long for a stop.
