From Zell to Mayrhofen, head towards the Ahornbahn cable car. After the toll booth, it's a brisk climb. It's fairly quiet up to the dam. There was a lot of activity at the reservoir. But then, after a short stretch, it became pleasantly quiet again.
Since the Kasseler Hut isn't open this early in the year, it became very quiet …

Enjoyable cycling tour from Hippach via Mayrhofen to the Stillup reservoir, one of the 5 reservoirs in the Zillertal. From there we continued over the upper Stillup valley to the Grüne-Wand-Hütte and further to the end of the Stillupgrund valley. Surrounded by a fantastic mountain backdrop and many waterfalls. All in all, another lovely "pensioner's cycling day"🚴‍♂️☀😃

Very nice, demanding tour in the first part up to the Stillup Alm, 600 meters in altitude over 9 km. Above beautiful waterfalls, rock faces. Opportunities to stop off. Downhill again through the beautiful Zillertal to Uderns.

The rain wasn't supposed to start until later in the day, but as is often the case, you leave later and the rain arrives earlier.

The ride up to the Stillup Reservoir was quite relaxing, although the clouds were already quite low. It drizzled occasionally, but it wasn't worth mentioning.
