Ostrówek Lake

Highlight • Lake

Lake Ostrówek (also known as Galwiecie) is a small, charming body of water located in Masuria, near Węgorzewo, ideal for cyclists looking for quiet routes away from the crowds. The lake is surrounded by quiet, local asphalt and gravel roads, and the terrain is gentle, so the route is not too difficult. The water in the lake is clean, and the banks are overgrown with reeds, which is good for bird watching and relaxing in nature. There are not many shops or restaurants in the area, so it is worth stocking up on provisions in advance. This is a good place for a short stop during a trip to the lesser-known corners of northern Masuria.
