Bench of the Three Women

Highlight • Monument

A rustic resting place right on the circular path around the Dreiweibener See. A small hut and the special bench with the three beauties who gave the small settlement (first mentioned in documents in 1509) and the lake their name. According to legend, the three farmers' wives saved the life of the landowner's daughter when she was attacked by robbers. Out of gratitude, he gave each of them a piece of land. This is how the settlement is said to have developed. Today, there are around 40 residents.

Very nice stretch of beach on Lake Dreiweiberner with a small beach bar. Part is nudism, part is textile, but the separation is not strict at all. Really great how the former coal mine was renatured. This beach is a good quarter of an hour from Lohsa train station by bike.
