Absolutely to be avoided. The path is totally overgrown, one loses a lot of time backtracking to find the right path. Once the crest of the hill has been reached, it only gets worse with huge sharp rocks and very steep drops, until one reaches a steel cable barely attached to a rock face with a 20m drop below.

At that point we turned back and even though we were backtracking, we lost the route multiple times again.
We had a number of near dead experiences.

It's a shame and irresponsible thatthis route is even listed on Komoot. As of today, I remove the Komoot app never to look back

Access to the gorge from Sa Calobra was closed and we wanted to take the route shown on the map as an alternative. This turned into a strenuous climbing tour on impassable terrain with sharp-edged rocks.
