Great stop for the brilliant cafe, or to quickly use their loos. Some bike parking is available. Steam trains run along the track on a number of months, which is a lovely sight. Be careful when crossing the track though!

Top section is smooth rolling even in winter. It soon deteriorates as the path points downwards, somewhat typically for the byways of the area.

I cleaned it on 35mm gravel tyres but certainly more volume is better in this case.

This a very popular pub with cyclists, having a large patio with lots of seating adjacent to the towpath (leads to the Bristol / Bath cycleway). An excellent pint of Butcombe Bitter and decent food.
