Whitwell and Reepham station was an active station from 1882 until 1959 when it was used by the Midland and Great Northern Railway line. Today, the station lies on the popular Marriotts Way traffic-free path which traces the old railway line. Marriott's Way

Journeying between Aylsham and Norwich, Marriott's Way is a traffic free trail for hikers and cyclists. It follows the routes of two disused railway lines for 26 miles (42 km). The route makes an intriguing curve, known as the Themelthorpe Loop, around Reepham which can be made into a circular hike of around six miles (10 km). This was said to be the sharpest railway bend in the UK and was created to join the two railway lines.
