We start at the parking lot by the small reservoir in Kerpen. The path leads gently uphill towards Kerpen Castle. Along the way, we pass the burial site (memorial stone) of the Eifel painter Fritz von Wille (1860-1941) and his wife Auguste. In his paintings, he realistically captured the cultural landscape of the Eifel region.
