The tour can only be recommended to a limited extent - most of the route is on state or county roads. There is little to see of the lake on the tour.

This route is certainly suitable for a bike tour. However, it is not recommended for hiking, as you walk almost exclusively on the road. We were lucky, because most of the roads were closed to car traffic due to the Ratscher Triathlon. Unfortunately, as far as I know, there is no nice hiking trail around the Ratscher mountain lake.
