Whenever I visit MV, I am always magically drawn to the area around Kratzeburg. My parents had a summer cottage in Krienke, where we spent the summer months for many years and where my children spent their holidays. In summer, the Müritz National Park is really a holiday paradise with its many forests, lakes, cycle paths and swimming opportunities.

The trail runs partially along the lake and through the forest, passing meadows. There are many lovely places to stop for a break. There are also plenty of places to stop for refreshments. We stopped for lunch at Havelkrug Granzin and for coffee at Lütte Meierei in Katzeburg. The trail is easily accessible throughout.

The weather app lied... about rain only from 3 p.m.... It was drizzling 🌧 as soon as we started. But the jacket has a hood 🤭. However, the tour was shortened a bit; it was still supposed to go around Lake Granzin. But it was also such a nice round.
