A short evening hike directly from the campsite along the Buntenbock Ponds Water Hiking Trail, which runs directly past the campsite. The trail traces the Upper Harz water system with its mining art and variously elevated reservoirs, as well as ditches and water inlets that were necessary to power mining machines and pumps before the age of steam engines.
