Mallnow Village Church Ruins

Highlight • Religious Site

The church was built at the end of the 12th and beginning of the 13th century as a single-nave granite block. In the last days of the war, probably around March 20, 1945, German pioneers blew up the church tower, which fell into the nave. In 1998 the church ruins were secured.
The bell can be found in a rack outside the church.

Along the break line between the parking lot and the junction to the "Kleine Runde" there are great views, especially of the northern plain. One can also sense the strategic importance of this ridge as a line of defense in the battle for the Seelow Heights.

Adonis is a genus of flowering plants in the Ranunculaceae family. The spring Adonis flower grows on the slopes of the Oder. It comes from Siberia and the Altai. It immigrated to us after the Vistula Ice Age. Due to agriculture and afforestation, it is classified as endangered and is under nature protection. de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fr%C3%BChlings-Adonisr%C3%B6schen
