Arure Waterfall

Highlight • Waterfall

Beautiful waterfall (approx.15m) and hollowed out stone. Also worth a trip in hot weather, as the path runs in the shade and you always follow the watercourse (cooling off included).

Wildly romantic route through reeds, past palm trees and along the stream - mostly in nice shade, but sometimes a bit demanding (be careful because of wet shoes on slippery rocks)

Don't overestimate it!

The trail isn't so easy.

Slippery stones, you even have to climb a few times. But it's a beautiful trail, really fun.

Great, wild beautiful tour. Surefootedness required, otherwise your feet will be damp

Great hike in Valle Gran Rey. From La Calera to El Guru (beautiful mountain village rebuilt after fire), there we go into the Barranco. The path partly leads through the stream bed, sometimes a bit of climbing is required. The Salto de Agua waterfall cascades down into the valley basin. Return via the same route. Nice tour

Showing Translation

The trail begins down in the seaside town of Valle Gran Rey.
First, we head up a beautiful, wide, and dusty farm track. Always to the right of the dry, super-wide paved foothills of the Valle Gran Rey ravine.
After a short while, we climb some stairs to the right to a small chapel. Here, we can take our first …

You can't really talk about a round. You can save yourself the first one to two kilometers, here it is only along the road. It is better to park directly opposite the entrance in the direction of the waterfall. The path is impassable in parts and you have to climb over fallen trees. Part of the route leads through the …

Overall, a very nice hike. It is not always easy to find the right path. It leads partly through/over the stream that is fed by the waterfall. Surefootedness and good orientation are helpful on this tour.

Great tour with small climbing elements. This is a "must" if you're in the area. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes.

October 30, 2021,Barranco de Arure
At the end of this hiking trip there was a small but nice tour to a small waterfall today. It started right at the hotel, first at a brisk pace up the street and then through the artists' village to the beginning of the narrow path into the gorge (Barranco de Arure). Over hill and dale, through reeds and under …
