Henneby Dolmen

In connection with the development of an area for holiday homes in Henneby in 1977, the remains of several burials from the time at the beginning of the Neolithic Age (approx. 3900-2800 BC) were found. This included a dolmen chamber, which had to make way for the planned sewer system for the path, which was later given the name Stendyssevej, Steindolmenweg. Thanks to the initiative of local residents, the large stones were brought to Strandfogedgården a little further north, where the reconstructed dolmen can now be seen, while the selected grave gifts, clay vessels and amber beads are on display in the museum in Nymindegab.
