Brædstrup Church

Highlight • Religious Site

Although most Danish villages have historical churches from the 12th century, Brædstrup looks back on a completely different history. The current church building was only completed in 1941 and is already the third sacred building to serve the community since the Middle Ages. Through the modern architecture with a choir with apse, a wide nave and skillful spatial division, the interior of the brick building offers excellent acoustics.

The Ring Sø is an idyllic bathing lake right on the edge of the Danish market town of Brædstrup in Jutland. The body of water covers an area of around 24 hectares and is characterized by its exceptionally clear water of high quality. Anglers also appreciate the Ring Sø for its healthy fish population. The body of water is home to a considerable number of perch between 20 and 35 centimeters, as well as pike and various whitefish. Fishing from the lake shore is permitted free of charge in a designated area of 200 meters to the right of the bathing jetty, but requires the Danish state fishing license.
