Red squirrel trail is an easy family friendly cycle route mainly following old railway routes. Well maintained throughout. Both the Sandown to Newport and Newport to Cowes sections are flat. The Wroxall loop is more challenging.

lovely Cycleway along the former railway line. be aware, we managed to get 4 punctures between 2 bikes. quite unusual as I hardly ever get punctures . perhaps the Hawthorn had just been cut back?
