Occupying a lovely spot on Morecambe Bay, yet only 6 miles (10 km) from the southern tip of Windermere in the Lake District, it has plenty of potential for both lovers of the coast and those who want to head for the mountains. There are many places to stay and eateries, but surely the classic is to grab a fish & chips by the waterfront.

A nice morning walk along the promenade at Grange Over Sands. Great views out to sea, plenty of bird life, a pretty ornamental park and some interesting buildings.
