The bridge is lowered every hour on the hour!
The barrier staff can be contacted via an intercom directly on the bridge.
The staff were very friendly and had lowered the bridge earlier!
Great!

Cycle Path Am Deich

Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

I prefer to ride my racing bike there on the low-traffic road. The bike path on the dike in Motzen is much more attractive.

Just before you get back to Bremen, here is another great section of the route. Straight, relatively intact asphalt - but a little narrow with oncoming traffic.

The track is simply awesome. The asphalt is really great, there's hardly any traffic, good sections for blasting, and you can also catch your breath. The scenery is simply stunning. You have to (be able to) live with the wind.

Maybe a little too relaxed - but it has to be that way sometimes :-)

A nice, leisurely ride to Brake (the beginning of Brake) and back. The bike paths are simply fantastic, and there's hardly any traffic to speak of. It's really fun.

Today I just worked for my mom. Going back was nice with a good counter edge. Going out, a decent sliding edge. It was awesome blasting past the milking shed at 48. But those cockchafers really hurt when they hit you in the face. ;-) Ouch!

Segment Juliusplate to Elsflether Sand (Photo 7) tested the dike path / cycle path (Weser side) (not the dike road) - superbly laid concrete slabs - rolls really well - and not a soul around there - really good for letting the steam locomotive out and really pounding away.
