There's a campsite at the foot of Ehrenburg Castle.

It's in a quiet location.

When you get up in the morning, you have a beautiful view of the castle 🏰.

August 3, 2024,Wanderabenteuer zwischen Alken nach Brodenbach 🤪
On my last day of vacation, it had to be something particularly exciting and so I thought of a hiking adventure between Alken and Brodenbach 😃

It started off pretty steeply, which is no problem... but it would be worse if the thunder that accompanied me was accompanied by rain 🤔

This time it worked out. I finally walked the Mountain and Gorge Trail, or rather, a section of it, since the entire 18 km route was too long for me.

➡️ A nice alternative for those for whom the dream path is too long. Just follow the Brodenbach to the Moselle 😊 but it's still exhausting, see elevation profile.

Very nice hiking tour. There is also a very nice inn on the way. This is the historic Vogelsang mill. You can eat very well. Of course there are a lot of viewpoints along the way. I can only describe the path as beautiful, you have to have hiked it.

Despite the drought, a nice, green tour with some streams!
First the Teufelslay with a great vantage point at the end and then through beautiful, varied gorges and past the Donnerloch.

The ascent and descent is not for people with a severe fear of heights like me. Sturdy shoes and sure-footedness are required. Although you're not right on the edge, there are some places …
