Seeweg Schmerikon

Highlight • Trail

Beautiful, but often busy path along the northern shore of the Obersee with pedestrians and cyclists (leads from Schmerikon to Rapperswil, sometimes directly along the shore, sometimes a bit away from it).

St. Pankraz Bollingen

Highlight • Religious Site

The church of St. Pankraz has been located since the Middle Ages where the gently rising southern slope forms a terrace near the banks of the Obersee. Bollingen, which was once under the care of the counts and later the city of Rapperswil, experienced an eventful history. A part of the Jona community since the canton was founded in 1803, Bollingen became an independent parish and parish in 1871. After 2007, the community merger, the unification of the parishes and the pastoral care unit in Rapperswil-Jona brought further changes.
There are 16 nesting boxes for swifts in the church tower, 14 of which were occupied in 2021 and there were 30 young ones. They are looked after by Paul Hügli.

Chlosterwald Trail

Highlight (Segment) • Trail

Beautiful, easy trail (S0-S1), at one point (at the transition to Bannwald) short S2. The Chlosterwald Trail is part of the almost ten-kilometer-long "Jona-Oberwald-Chlosterwald-Goldberg-Uznaberg Trail", which is fantastic to ride overall.
