The renaturation of the Liesingbach brings many advantages for people and nature. The bank areas will be flattened, planted and provided with stones and rootstocks to create habitats for animals and plants. The water quality will be improved by building an additional rainwater channel. Flood protection is increased by hydraulic engineering modifications being made to the retention basins.
