Was there a week ago and the bottom half of the trail has been ruined by the weather and hooligan trail builders. i would give it a miss.

Now it's a lovely place for a walk with great views. The Mary Towneley, Burnley Way and Pennine Bridleway long distance trails pass along its shores.
