Knockbrex Castle

Highlight • Historical Site

Apparently James Brown (not that one) bought the estate for £14,000 in 1894, and immediately filled it full of cars.

Often referred to in historical documents as "The Toy Fort", you can now rent the castle on Air BnB!

Day 2: Glentrool to Kirkcudbright.
Followed the NCR 7 to Kirkcudbright, apart from a little gravel detour in gatehouse. More climbing than I expected today, ready for dinner and an early night at my mum's!
