September 23, 2023,Schladming Tag 2: Giglachsee Tour 23.09.2023
Today we want to go up to almost 2000 meters, the Giglachsee is the goal. It looks very cloudy when driving away from the hotel, but it is still dry. Unfortunately the weather forecast for today doesn't promise anything good, let's see if I can actually make it to the summit.

Very difficult tour from the Ursprungalm to the Ignaz Mattis Hut Very steep and difficult terrain
Not for wimps

Cycled out of Schladming, always along the river, then took the toll road to the Ursprungalm. The route was partly blocked, but with a bit of feeling, it went quite well... 😚
As always, beautiful huts 🛖 along the way. Delicious 🐟 🥰

You should be able to drive a bit in the steepness to tackle this tour.

Toll road also for mountain bikers (annual pass for € 5.00 as of 2024) - worth it 😉 if you drive to the Giglachseen - but beware, from Ursprungalm onwards only for experienced mountain bikers
