I hiked this wonderful circular trail just in time for the heather bloom. Lots of field paths, plenty of shade, a great barefoot path, and finally, the heather blooming.

We drove to the Osnabrück region to hike on one of the beautiful TERRA.tracks. We chose the "TERRA.track Wacholderhain" because we wanted to see what a heath area outside the Lüneburg Heath looks like. But more on the Wacholderhain later. We extended the planned route because the path was too short for us.
