A great tour with a steep climb at the beginning. Partly sunny, partly shaded by the forest. Beautiful view and two places to stop for refreshments. The climb to the summit is then a black route, but easy to do. Only possible in summer. We had 25 degrees and sunshine. Lots of animals. Not family-friendly.

Unfortunately, we never made it to the Hochsaalwand because at some point shortly before the summit it was simply too steep and the snow was too slippery. No Grödel helped and that was too dangerous for us because someone had already slipped down there in front of us, but luckily nothing happened to him.

We used the sun and hiked from Brannenburg to the Rampoldplatte. The ground was frozen everywhere and in parts it was also slippery, so we could have used our Grödel ... Of course we had forgotten them at home. 😅 Still went quite well and the view was just right!

The tour took us directly from the accommodation to the Breiteberghütte, below the Lechneralm the Jägersteig should take us to the summit of the Hochsalwand. For safety reasons we started the descent before the ridge and then went up to the Rampoldplatte.
