The hike was really strenuous at times; I almost gave up twice, but luckily my inner demons prevailed. 😉 Sturdy shoes and hiking poles are recommended! You can also take a taxi for a good part of the way in and out.

The trail led through a valley carved by a glacier. The weather was perfect, and the autumn colors of the deciduous trees looked fantastic! For a good view of the Valbona Valley, our destination was Café Simoni. The path was lined with ancient beech trees. It was a beautiful day!
