Beautiful castle located just above the Neckar - unfortunately, the castle is privately owned and therefore not easy to visit. Directly behind the castle begins the Wolfsschlucht.

The Wolfsschlucht is great, a bit more demanding than the Margaretenschlucht 😉
Unfortunately, the "connecting path" is a somewhat boring gravel road.
If you prefer circular routes, you should make an exception here and hike back down the Wolfsschlucht 🥾
Downhill sticks are very helpful 👍🏻

The Wolfsschlucht is very beautiful. After heavy rain, sturdy waterproof shoes are necessary. The paths are mostly unsecured. Pure nature. On a Tuesday in October, I didn't see a soul. I was on the trail for a good 2 hours

Right next to the castle, the ascent begins through the approximately 1 km long gorge formed by the castle stream. The tour can be extended using an extensive network of hiking trails.

I love this gorge and hiked it for the first time on a public holiday in good weather. Lots of people...very little water for the first week of May.
But still recommended.
