In 1952 the chapel received a new image of the Mother of God, a Pietà created by the sculptor Tophinke and donated by the Catholic men's work. In 1978 the chapel was completely renovated and inaugurated in 1980. Even today, the chapel invites people to present their concerns to the Blessed Mother. Every year, the men from Brühl make a penitential pilgrimage to this site, which invites them to rest and pray.
