A nice place for a picnic. An installation shows how water was pumped from the brook in the past. you can "lend a hand" yourself and watch how the water is transported upwards by a snail.

April 26, 2025,Luxemburg, Tag 1: Von Wallendorf-Pont über Beaufort: Müllerthal Trail Extratour
Today is our first day on the Mullerthal Trail in Luxembourg. Luxembourg has a population of around 650,000. The Mullerthal Trail itself runs through Luxembourg's Little Switzerland. We're staying in Wallendorf Pont. It has a population of 90, and the border with Germany is right across the bridge over the Sûre in the town itself. It feels like almost everyone …

Viking trip 7801: Müllerthal - simply "fairytale-like".

The start and end of hike A is the Hotel Dimmer in Wallendorf-Pont.

September 8th, 2024 - Addendum at the end of the trip:

The Hotel Dimmer is a family-run hotel in the fourth generation and a great base hotel for cycling and hiking trips.

This Mullerthal Extra Tour B overlaps a small part of route 3 of the trail. The fog reaches its peak and the sun doesn't stand a chance all day. Fantastic atmosphere in the forest! It's a pity that the beautiful views of, among other things, the village of Bigelbach and the surrounding fields were lost, but that doesn't spoil the …

Today we hiked through the beautiful Müllertal in Luxembourg Switzerland. After visiting the castle ruins in Beaufort (see the zigzag lines) followed by a liqueur tasting, we went on mostly easy-to-walk forest paths on a varied, approx. 14 km long circular route, on which there was a lot to see.

The tour is actually advertised as an "Extra Tour B" – essentially an addition to the official Mullerthal Trails 1, 2, and 3.
But it's certainly nothing to be ashamed of – it's a diverse gem 👍😎

Today's circular route started in Beaufort. It reflected all the beauty of nature: forest, meadows, rocks and streams.
The climbs were moderate... The most beautiful sections of the route for us were some single trails along the rocks.
At the end, after a very tasty stop at the Patesserie, we were unable to see the church of St. Maxime. Unfortunately, …

Today we started to explore the extra tours of the Mullerthal Trail. We didn't like it at all. It's a real shame. But the weather was really great 😊
