Kraków Gorge

Highlight • Gorge

The Kraków Gorge is a mysterious, magical Tatra alley. If you are walking along the Kościeliska Valley, it is worth deviating from the trail a bit and you will find yourself in a different fairy tale. There is peace and quiet among the narrow, vertical and sometimes overhanging walls.

Mylna Cave

Highlight • Cave

Jaskinia Mylna (Irrhöhle) is an interesting cave in the Koscieliska sinkhole.
Total length of the aisles is 1600 meters. A marked hiking trail runs through the cave and connects the two entrances to the cave.
The so-called traverse (crossing) is about 300 meters long
and feasible for almost every man with a good light source.

A great base for trips to the Western Tatras. This shelter on Mała Polanka Ornaczańska in the upper part of the Kościeliska Valley (it is at an altitude of 1100m above sea level) has a kitchen and rooms. And those views!

Chochołowska Valley

Highlight • Gorge

The Chochołowska Valley is the largest and longest valley in Poland’s Tatra Mountains, stretching 10 kilometers. Known for its scenic beauty, it features dense spruce forests, alpine meadows, and a deep gorge with dramatic narrows. Popular for hiking and cycling, the main trail leads to the PTTK Mountain Shelter on the Chochołowska Clearing. In spring, the valley transforms into a vibrant sea of crocuses, drawing many visitors. It also preserves its shepherding heritage, with traditional cheese-making still practiced.

The Chochołowska Valley is the largest valley in the Polish Tatras, popular especially in spring, when it is covered with thousands of blooming crocuses. A comfortable, wide road leads through it, which can be covered on foot, by bike, or by tourist train or carriage. At the end of the valley is the Chochołowskie Shelter, which is a great place to rest before continuing your hike, e.g. to Grześ or Trzydniowiański Wierch.

I had to stop at one place because there was a cave and then there was a lot of points on the route because my phone was running out of battery and I didn't want it to run out.
