From the parking lot we walk on the footpath to the left of the Gasthaus Aschauer-Wirt past the natural pool, a short distance in the direction of the fairy tale path and then left onto the Maximilians bridle path to the junction to the Kastensteinerwand (yellow hiking sign).

Starting at lunchtime, and even though the sun was hiding behind the clouds today, this short hike was just the thing for a relaxing afternoon.
