Great views!

From Hohenbeilstein, with great views, up through the vineyards to the Wartkopf lookout point, then on to Lake St. Anna, to the idyllic hamlet of Gagernberg with wonderful views of the surrounding area, down into the Schmidbach valley and back again via Schmidhausen (from the book "Wege. 32 Rundwanderungen" by Werner Siepel)

A really nice walk with great views! However, it is almost entirely paved, so sneakers or running shoes are recommended. From Jettenbach to Beilstein I would not walk directly along the Schmidbach next time, but avoid the hiking trail above it, otherwise you have the road in your ear and always walk in the blazing sun.
