Storfossen Waterfall (Geiranger)

Highlight • Waterfall

Beautiful waterfall in the middle of Geiranger, tons of water and you definitely get wet on the way up!!
Otherwise super nice and worth a 'climb'

Stairway Along the Waterfall

Highlight • Waterfall

It starts in the town and runs directly up the river.
The destination is the fjord center.
It takes about 45 minutes.
There are about 300 steps.

There were really a lot of steps. How did they go down, it's a little bit on your knee.

The view from up here is simply amazing and breathtaking! It's something you should see at least once. And don't just take photos, but really take the time to enjoy the impressions and preserve them as a true memory ;)

View of Geirangerfjord

Highlight • Viewpoint

For cruisers: You can either walk there from the pier or take the hop-on bus. For those who are sporty, we recommend walking along the waterfall, past the Fjord Center, for those who are less sporty or if there is little time, then by bus to Hole Hütter and the rest of the way (a few hundred meters). Foot. Be sure to visit the historically furnished dining room. The waffles with ice cream and strawberries are recommended.

July 2, 2023,Wanderung am Geiranger nach Loste, Aussichtspunkt
A very exciting hike to Loste, approx. 500 m high, the attempt to make a circular route unfortunately went wrong. The hiking trails are marked with new signs and have different distances than the old wooden signs. Maybe those are miles, so only the route from A to B was recorded, total hiking time was 6 hours. And we were …

Today we hiked to the Løsta viewpoint, amidst magnificent nature and surroundings. Initially, we followed regular paths, then climbed numerous stone steps, and in the final third of the ascent, we took a steep, yet beautiful, and challenging trail. The nature here is simply magnificent. The only downside is that it's teeming with people near Geiranger. That's the big drawback …
